Picture a Story

Come and make a fold-out picture book of a story featuring Aunt Effie from The Whistling Bull: David Elliot and Jack Lasenby exhibition.

Look around the Art Gallery and find a book character called Aunt Effie. What types of stories is Aunt Effie in?

Imagine you are an author. . .

In your mind, create a story about Aunt Effie and give it a title. Your story can be about anything you like, the only thing it needs to include is Aunt Effie.

Now, imagine you are an illustrator. . .

Make a fold-out picture book to tell your story of Aunt Effie in five drawings. Ask a member of staff for a fold-out book, and use any creative materials of your choice such as pencil, crayons, or collage to bring your story to life.

Take your story home or leave it at the Art Gallery for other visitors to read.

COST: Free; all materials provided.
