Opening | Kathy Reilly, Inge and Marc Doesburg, Print Council Aotearoa

December 13 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for the opening of our three new summer exhibitions!

Kathy Reilly’s solo exhibition Peregination: A Sub Antarctic Odyssey explores her Subantarctic research expedition through a variety of printmaking methods. Featured works include detailed etchings and cyanotypes of endemic plant species, and studies of the Toroa Royal Southern Albatross in prints and a video work.

Duologue is a collaborative exhibition by Ōtepoti Dunedin-based artists Inge and Marc Doesburg. Trained as a printmaker, Inge’s works explore the landscapes and sensations of her adopted home Aotearoa through print, painting, photography and drawing. Marc’s photography looks for the formal arrangements within a scene by following a line, or capturing the incidental compositions of architectural elements; often exploring the overlooked spaces from daily life.

Contemporary Printmaking of Aotearoa: A Kōrero of Thoughts and Ideas is an exhibition of works by members of the Print Council Aotearoa New Zealand. By folding in new technologies, experimenting with different surfaces, or cross-pollinating with other artistic disciplines, the works in this exhibition continue to explore the breadth of opportunity latent in twenty-first century printmaking.

This event will coincide with the opening of Dearly Beloved: 100 Years of the Wedding Dress.

Nau mai koutou katoa – all are welcome at this free event!
